I will miss Vincent's visits to Dublin, our phone and email messages, our chats evoking and recalling fond memories of a long ago shared childhood with its family events, friends and Glasnevin characters! Vincent lived in England for over sixty years and while all his academic achievement and teaching career belong there, he also brought his expertise to Irish teacher training. He never lost touch with his Irish roots so he might be happy to say of himself as the poet Donagh McDonagh says: "Dublin made me and no little town............"
